Red Ribbon Activities

"Look at Me, I'm Drug-free!"


Monday Get RED-dy to be Drug-free!
Students and staff will wear red and receive ribbons and "This Coyote is Drug-Free" wristbands to wear all week. A jar full of red items will be on display for the "Count on Me to be Drug-Free" jar count. The student in each grade with the closest guess will win the jar of items at the end of the week. "I CAN, YOU, CAN, WE CAN" - Begin canned food drive for the entire week. Classroom wit the most canned food donations gets an ice cream party.
Tuesday Pledge Day
Red Ribbon Week pledge will be read during the morning announcements. Students and teachers sign pledge cards and stick them to a classroom poster.
Wednesday "Hugs Not Drugs" or "Team Up Against Drugs" Day
Students will bring their favorite stuffed animal to school OR wear their favorite team's jersey. Staff is encouraged to participate!
Thursday "Sock it to Drugs" Day
Students and Staff wear crazy socks. Submit final guesses to jar count contest.
Friday School Spirit & Recognition Day
Students and staff wear their favorite team jersey or Walker Creek T-shirt backwards. "This school turns its back on drugs!" The winner of the "Count of Me to be Drug-Free" jar count will be announced.
